Marshall County Grand Jury indicts King

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation initiated an investigation into allegations involving a Williamson County Sheriff’s Deputy Cody Hawken King. King was booked into the Marshall County Jail on March 26, 2026, on a $10,000 bond and has been released. The Marshall County Grand Jury indicted King on one count of stalking and six counts of observation without consent. The charges are related to his ex-wife. King is a resident of Chapel Hill and an Alderman for the Town of Chapel Hill.

D ana Cook lives in Lewisburg with her husband, Eliot Cook and stepchildren, Eli and Stella. She dedicated 20 years to teaching elementary school in the community before transitioning into her current role as a developmental evaluator at Tennessee Tech University. Candidate Statement: Tony Nichols for Marshall County Sheriff

N ichols’ law enforcement career began in 1998 as a reserve deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. In 2001, he earned his certification as a police officer and continued to serve Lincoln County before joining the Petersburg Police Department, where he held the position of Chief of Police for three years. In 2007, Nichols started working for the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, and since then, he has have been fully committed to serving Marshall County.
