Marshall County Children Need a Voice: CASA Volunteers Urgently Needed
E very child deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard. Unfortunately, many children in Marshall County are navigating difficult circumstances involving abuse, neglect, or family instability and need an advocate standing beside them during one of the most challenging times in their lives.
Community invited to support DREMC’s “Stuff the Bucket” school supply drive
D uck River Electric is encouraging community members to help local students start the 2026–2027 school year with the tools they need to succeed. The cooperative has launched a “Stuff the Bucket” school supply drive, a communityfocused effort rooted in the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors.
Chamber Coffee Hosted by Junior’s House
The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce was the location for the Chamber Coffee hosted by Junior’s House on June 11. Delicious muffins, scones, fruit and a selection of drinks were served at the coffee. It was a great time for all who attended to talk business as well as catch up with friends and colleagues.
Columbia State Announces Spring 2026 Dean’s List

Federal Court broadens Nearest Green receivership
A federal judge has broadened the receivership scope in the Nearest Green case, ordering that Grant Sidney also be put under the receivership umbrella.
Warf received award SRO of the Year
Wendy Brayman, who serves as the President of the Tennessee Association of School Resource Officers is pictured with Robert Warf who received School Resource Officer of the Year. Warf is a SRO officer at Lewisburg Middle School and employed with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
