M ary had a little lamb that grew until it weighed about a hundred pounds and Mary’s Mom was looking for something special for the Easter holiday family feast. Mary, being a wise and practical farm girl, knew that her lamb, like every animal on the farm, had a job, and that job is to be delicious.

T he Tennessee College of Applied Technology Pulaski (TCAT Pulaski) was awarded $128,000 through the Perkins V Rural Education and Development Innovation (READI) Grant. The grant will support the continued development and expansion of its new Digital Agronomy Program (DAG). During the grant cycle, individual awards of up to $250,000 were made statewide to support high-cost equipment purchases that modernize and innovate Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) career and technical education programs. These competitive grants prioritize experiential learning opportunities that prepare students for success in Tennessee’s workforce.

B elfast Volunteer Fire Department, Station 53, and Marshall County OEM were dispatched to the area of 129 and Railroad Street in Petersburg on Thursday, March 19, at8:i7a.m. Asemi-truck, hauling empty chicken crates, overturned off the roadway. The accident resulted in the driver having minor injuries.

Opening & Ribbon Cutting

O n Saturday, March 28, starting at 4:00 p.m., there will be a fundraiser to support Emmy Bruce who is battling breast cancer. BBQ plates $15, Kids’ plates $8. Easter Bunny photos can be taken and there will be a Silent and Dessert Auction. This fundraiser will take place at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 304 N Main Street in Chapel Hill.
