4th of July Parade-Celebrate 250 Years
G et out your red, white, and blue. Decorate your vehicle, float, bicycle, wagon, 4-wheeler, etc., and enjoy this special community celebration. Parade time is 9 a.m., Saturday, July 4. Participants will start lining up at 8:30 a.m. at Marshall County Plaza, where IGA is located and the parade will end at The Acres Shopping Center near Goodwill. Everyone is invited to participate.

V FW Post 5109 proudly announces the launch of its first annual VET FEST 2026, a patriotic community celebration honoring veterans, military families, and the citizens who support them. The event will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at VFW Post 5109 located at 148 E. Church Street in Lewisburg, Tennessee.

Join walking horse enthusiasts at the Belfast Lions Walking Horse Show on Saturday, June 20, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at SW Beech Showgrounds, 450 Belfast Farmington Road, Belfast, Tenn.

Talented Musicians to Perform
Marshall County music fans are in for a treat when the Wesleyan Chapel, located at 1799 South Berlin Road, hosts an afternoon of worship music on Sunday, June 14, at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The program is entitled Make a Joyful Noise and will feature vocal and instrumental performances by Jan MacKrell, the Chapel’s pianist, and her very talented daughters, who all play stringed instruments and have performed on stage with Charlie Daniels, David Archuleta, Orla Fallon, Lee Greenwood, Vince Gill, and Michael W. Smith to name a few. The sisters have performed together and solo at many venues and currently lead the music worship at World Outreach Church. Also performing with be Michael Smotherman, vocal soloist; Shelby Martin; Terry Jackson, a local favorite; and Josh Edlin, who is known to play almost any instrument and also operate a sound system. The community is invited to this free concert. You will be welcomed by Pastor Bradley Martin and other members of the congregation. Ice cream and cookies will follow the performance.

Plant Bingo at Wild Roots Boutique
Wild Roots Boutique, 114 West Church Street in Lewisburg, hosted a lively Plant Bingo event, Saturday, June 6. Kourtney had a full boutique of enthusiastic ladies, daubers in hand and ready to play. As each letter and number was called, anticipation filled the room as players eagerly waited to mark their cards. Ten games were played throughout the event, and every winner went home with a plant or a plant-related accessory. The fun-filled gathering combined friendly competition, laughter, and a shared love of plants, making it a memorable evening for all who attended.

Career Day at Oak Grove Elementary
Students at Oak Grove Elementary got a glimpse into the world of work during an exciting Career Day on May 5th. Community helpers shared what they do and how they help others. Oak Grove students welcomed Lewisburg Electric System, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Lewisburg Animal Hospital, Marshall County EMS, and Volunteer Materials. Students were able to connect their learning to real-life careers while inspiring future dreams.
