Ages 1-15 and families can fish for free. * June 6 – Dog & Pony Show at Bobby McDaniel Showgrounds in Cornersville, starting at 3:00 p.m. There are 30 scheduled classes. This is a Middle School Basketball Team fundraiser event. * June 8 – VFW meeting at 6:30 p.m. at 148 E Church Street. All veterans are encouraged to be a part of the Lewisburg Veteran community.

Travelers across Tennessee and beyond will soon have a new reason to look forward to their next stop on the open road. Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop is officially set to welcome guests on June 24, introducing a travel experience built around the idea that every stop on the highway should feel a little more like home.
Career Day at Oak Grove Elementary
Students at Oak Grove Elementary got a glimpse into the world of work during an exciting Career Day on May 5th. Community helpers shared what they do and how they help others. Oak Grove students welcomed Lewisburg Electric System, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Lewisburg Animal Hospital, Marshall County EMS, and Volunteer Materials. Students were able to connect their learning to real-life careers while inspiring future dreams.
Pool Tournament Winners
A pool Tournament was held at Marshall County Senior Citizens on May 29, 2026. Cash prizes and lunch were sponsored by Lyons Ford dealership. Seniors from surrounding counties were invited. The winners are Charles Scales, first prize; Kent Woods, second prize; Joe Sharpe, third prize; and Kevin Edmonds, fourth prize. If you are 55 years old or older and interested in participating in future pool tournaments, call the Senior Center at 359-1808 for more information.
Easton Robertson to Take Part in Envision’s National Youth Leadership Forum Pathways to STEM
This summer, Easton Robertson, son of Jacob and LaShae Robertson, originally from Chapel Hill, Tenn. but currently resides in Fayetteville, Tenn., will join outstanding students from across the nation to take part in a unique academic and career-oriented development experience, National Youth Leadership Forum Pathways to STEM in Nashville at Vanderbilt University.
