MCRTA First Living Legacy Recognized

he meeting of the Marshall County Retired Teachers’ Association (MCRTA) on March 5, 2026, was one of great accomplishments. The business section of the meeting dealt with appreciation for the Teacher Appreciation Gifts drawing given to 33 teachers upon their return from the Christmas break. Also, the MCRTA will for the first time be hosting the Tennessee Retired Teachers’ Regional Meeting on March 17, 2026. Six scholarships will be awarded again in May to students with plans to enter the teaching profession. On May 8th, the MCRTA will once again be one of the sponsors of the Senior Walk for our graduating seniors. Finally, we collected a little over our $750 goal for donations for the Marshall Education Foundation for grants to be awarded to a classroom teacher.
