CHAPEL HILL — Have a game, Houston Matlock.
The Forrest Rocket righty was untouchable on Friday afternoon and pitched the Rockets to a 13-0 win in five perfect innings on the mound.
He struck out 10 batters and didn’t allow a hit or a walk, while Tyler Baxter led the Rocket batting order with a three RBI night, while scoring four runs of his own.
Forrest drove in three runs in the bottom of the first, with the first run of the night coming on a RBI single by Branham Haynes, scoring from second.

Haynes later scored when Matthew Morgran ground out, before the final run of the first came on a Paxton Mealer RBI double on a line drive to left.
Matlock and Lane Smith singled in back-to-back at-bats to lead off the second, bringing Baxter to the plate again.
This time, Baxter slugged a three-run blast to left, putting Forrest up 6-0.
Forrest got two more runs in the second off RBI singles by Morgan and Mealer to make it an 8-0 game.
Forrest padded its lead with five more runs, including two in the third and three more in the fourth.
Baxter went 1-for-3 on the night, but knocked in three runs.
Mealer and Haynes each finished with a pair of RBIs to their credit and had two-hit nights. Morgan also finished with two RBIs as well.
