Shelby Jean Johnson Lakvold, 88, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center.

She was born December 22, 1937, in Bessemer, Michigan, and was a homemaker and seamstress. She loved sewing, playing with her grandchildren, and teaching them how to bake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lakvold; one son, Tony Lakvold; great grandsons, Ryan Barker and Jaiden Tesch; son-in-law, Lon Roarty.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty (Don) Barker of Lewisburg and Rose Roarty of Michigan; three sons, Richard Lakvold, Dale (Sheryl) Lakvold, Brian Lakvold, all of Michigan; grandchildren, Annette (Richard) Cottier, Rachael Lakvold, Jessica Lakvold, Crystal Lakvold, Tommy Lakvold, Morgan Pratt, Spencer Pratt, Mike (Kara) Barker, Jenie Roque, Skylar (Billy) Collins, Colton Ray, Krista Pellerin, Danielle (Jerry) Lakvold, Devin (Melina) Lakvold, and Landon Hunt and twenty-two greatgrandchildren.

Her cremains will be buried in Michigan at a later date.
