Jeff Kerby has been working with the Marshall County Recovery Court as a Peer Recovery Specialist for nine months. He also teaches MRT, Moral Reconation Therapy, a cognitive-behavioral therapy approach to reduce substance abuse by enhancing moral reasoning, improving decision-making, and understanding positive behavioral changes, often used in criminal justice and substance abuse treatment settings. His office is located at The Marshall County Administration Building at 206 Legion Avenue, Lewisburg.
Kerby has 38 years of military service, serving in four deployments. He retired two years ago as a Physician’s Assistant and currently hosts wilderness first aid training as well as many other training classes.
Kerby planned a ride for Monday, April 14, Ridin for Recovery. He left Murfreesboro, riding down Route 231 through Shelbyville – then on 64 to 31A into Lewisburg to his office at 206 Legion Avenue. Kerby’s mission for this ride is to let his clients know how special they are and he thoroughly supports them while they identify and build on their strengths as they set their life time goals.
