He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sherry Mealer; daughters, Candy (Brian) Hobbs of Lynnville and Lisa (Troy) Cross of Lewisburg; sister, Diane Holder of the Berlin community; five grandchildren, Madison Hobbs, Audrey Hobbs, Annie Hobbs, Eli Cross and Jake Cross; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Danny Mealer was a familiar figure in Marshall County, widely recognized as the owner of Mealer Trucking Company. This business, founded by his late father, DJ Mealer, has flourished for several decades, marking many years of consistent success. Throughout its history, the company provided employment opportunities and services to many residents of Marshall County and the surrounding area. Danny earned a reputation for both his sharp business sense and his generous, kind nature. His employees, friends, and family regarded him as a thoughtful and caring person. Trucking was more than just a profession for Danny—it was his passion, and he truly enjoyed every aspect of his work When not working, Danny cherished time spent with his grandchildren, actively supporting them in their school and extracurricular activities. His devotion to his family was evident in his deep love for his wife of 53 years, his two daughters, and his grandchildren. He was a faithful member of Lewisburg First Baptist Church. Danny’s presence will be greatly missed by his family, his employees, and all those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.

Visitation with the family was held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St. Lewisburg, TN, on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

The funeral service was conducted Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at London Funeral Home and Crematory and burial followed in Lone Oak Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and/or Lewisburg First Baptist Church.
