The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development has a new statewide road cycling program, Bike Tennessee, which features 52 curated road cycling routes through picturesque landscapes across the state.
Bike Tennessee encourages riders of all skill levels to get out and hit the backroads and byways this summer.
We even have one close by called the Lynchburg Loop. It is 29 miles and includes 2,100 feet of climbing!
The Lynchburg Loop challenge starts in historic downtown Lynchburg. This scenic ride through Lynchburg’s rugged landscape has some steep grades and challenges, but the reward is ending the ride at some of Tennessee’s most renowned attractions, including a distillery tour and a meal at any number of famous Lynchburg restaurants.
