Harris is a recent college graduate, graduating Cum Laude from MTSU in May with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies.
“My Associates degree was from Columbia State in Mass Communication,” she said. “I take great pride in my time at Columbia State.”
She has lived in Marshall County since 2007, having first come to the area in 2001. She attended Forrest in Chapel Hill during her school years.
“I raised my three sons in Marshall County,” she said, noting they went to Lewisburg schools.
Harris said she is looking forward to covering schools as well as government in Marshall County and is already involved in attending many public meetings. She is a small business owner and owns Marshall Trading Company which specializes in custom apparel.
“I look forward to helping bring people together in Marshall County by providing an insight into local issues,” she said. “Anyone who has story ideas or would like their event covered should contact me.”
