This week has been designated as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. The telecommunicator or dispatcher is the person who answers the 911 calls. They are the first line of communication between those who call 911 and the police department, sheriff’s office, fire department, and emergency medical services.
They are trained to speak to callers, calm the callers down, to ask pertinent questions, and to give life-saving instructions.
Mike Keny, County Mayor of Marshall County, Tennessee, signed the Proclamation, declaring the week of April 14 – 20, 2024, as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
The following are the Marshall County Dispatchers. We are proud to have these men and women responding to calls and want to thank them for serving the public.
