Samuel P. Fox, 88, of Cornersville, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Sam was born in Brick Church, Tenn. on December 19, 1935, to Charlie B. and Nettie Gosnell Fox. Sam had a deep love and dedicated his life to farming. He liked fishing and found great enjoyment in being a prankster and cutting up with friends and family. Sam was a member of Beech Hill Church of Christ and is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters, and a great-grandchild, Keelan Carpenter.
Visitation was held Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services were conducted, Friday May 31, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Interment followed at Beechwood Cemetery in Cornersville.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Lillian Woodard Fox; daughters, Theresa Fox Carpenter (Henry), Julie Fox Stubblefield (Rickey), Darryl Fox Whitehead (Mark), and Christie Fox Braun (Donaven); grandchildren, Stacy Carpenter, Scott Carpenter, Dawn Stubblefield Fox (Heath), Megan Stubblefield Coble (Clint), Keith Brown (Berry), Kelli Brown Hood (Cody); bonus grandchildren, Ella Braun and D. Braun; great- grandchildren, Sean, Dylan, Lilly, Hallie, Dawson, Dallas, Noah, Asher, Sawyer, and great-great-grandchild Silas; caregiver Vickie O’Malley.
