Roslyn Davis Sutherland

Roslyn Davis Sutherland, age 91, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

Roslyn was born July 11, 1932, to the late Shula and Bessie McAdams Davis. She was raised in Lewisburg and attended Marshall County High School, graduating in 1950.  Roslyn worked at Faber Castell before moving to Franklin, where she worked at Jamison Bedding until her retirement in 2002.  Roslyn enjoyed landscape painting, watching sports on TV, especially the Titans. She was a member of Church Street Church of Christ. After her late husband, Milo Sutherland passing in 2014, Roslyn moved back to Lewisburg to live with her sister until her death.

Roslyn was preceded in death by her husbands, Ivan Adkisson and Milo Sutherland; parents, Shula and Bessie McAdams Davis.

Roslyn is survived by her sister, Theola Blue of Lewisburg; stepson, James Sutherland of Michigan; many cousins and special friends.

Graveside service was held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Lone Oak Cemetery. Russell Wyatt will officiated. Sonny Willis, Dennis Hamilton, James Gold, Harold Cox, Mike Albrecht and Floyd Richardson served as pallbearers. Visitation was at held 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to Compasses Hospice and the caregivers for the wonderful care they provided for Roslyn.  Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home & Crematory was in charge of the arrangements.
