Ronald “Ronnie” Neal Sprouse, 71, husband of Fe Sprouse, and a resident of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center.
The funeral service was held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Randall Sprouse officiating. Following the service, he was laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the United States Navy. A visitation was held on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Born on June 30, 1952, in Giles County, Tennessee, Ronnie was the son of the late James Herbert Sprouse and the late Virgie Ruth Goats Sprouse, and was the oldest of eight children. Having grown up on a farm, he gained his appreciation and love for farming and cattle. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1976 – 1980 as a submarine repairman and an electronic technician. As salutatorian of his high school graduating class, he was extremely intelligent and enjoyed reading and working Sudoku puzzles. He was married to Fe for twenty-five years and together they loved traveling to the Philippines.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Steven Sprouse and Bradley Sprouse; daughter, Rebecca Sprouse; brothers, James (Sherry) Sprouse, Jackie Lee (Lorri) Sprouse, Randall Keith (Joyce) Sprouse; sisters, Deborah Wood, Teresa Ann McConnell; sisters-in-law, Joan Sprouse and Lisa Scroggins; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Wayne Sprouse and Donald Patrick Sprouse.
Pallbearers were Chris Wood, Jason Sprouse, Brandon Sprouse, Jackie Sprouse, Wayne Harvey, and Andy Harvey.
