CHAPEL HILL — The Forrest Rockets claimed the District 11A title on Monday at Henry Horton Golf Course.
The Rockets totaled a combined score of 326, edging second-place Eagleville who finished with a 330.
Richland finished third as a team with 340.
Forrest was led by senior first-year team member Ryan Hill, who earned low-medalist honors with a 73.
John David King turned in an 82 for Forrest, while Luke Perry finished a couple of strokes back at 84. Houston Matlock finished out varsity scoring for Forrest with an 87.
Cornersville turned in a 387 team score and was led by Ayden Campbell’s 91, while Marshall County finished with 376 and was led by John Michael Darnell.
The Lady Rockets also had a stellar district outing and finished second as a team with a 194 behind Eagleville’s winning 158.
Adriana Dehoyos finished with a 94 while Lainey Duvall carded a 100 to finish out the scoring.
The Cornersville Lady ‘Dawgs finished third overall with both Eliza Nelson and Charlotte Liggett each shooting a 102, while Marshall County turned in a 210.
Nellie Neece finished with an 81 and finished third overall to advance individually to the region tournament.
