CORNERSVILLE — The Richland Raider simply had too much balance scoring for Cornersville to match in a 66-33 District 10-A loss on Thursday night.
Richland put three in double figures and saw seven total players score, while the ‘Dawgs had just four find their way into the scoring column.
Richland led by just six after the first period, 14-8, but padded its lead with a 19-9 run to close the first half.
That margin continued to spiral in favor of the visitors as the Raiders outscored Cornersville 23-8 in the third period.
The biggest highlight of the game came with 1:15 left in regulation when Bulldog senior Gage Lovell scored his 1,000th career point.
In total, Richland placed three in double figures, with Cooper Jackson’s 17 points leading all scorers, while Andrew Huff and Carter Edwards added 12 apiece.
Lovell led the home team with 11 points, while Ayden Campbell finished with 10.
Hayden Grover tacked on nine for the home team as well.
