Patricia Steel Mayes
Patricia Steel Mayes, 83, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. She was a member of Lewisburg Chapel United Methodist Church.
Patricia graduated from Jones High School, class of 1959. Her love for children landed her a job at the Child Development Center of Marshall County, teaching children with developmental challenges. She was a faithful member of Lewisburg Chapel United Methodist Church on 7th Avenue, where she attended regularly until her health failed. She loved to sing and could deliver a heartfelt pray at a moment’s notice.
Patricia was survived by her loving nieces, Cathilla Ann Tears (Ricky), Cindy Reynelle Smith (Taylor), Ametrice Meechie Biggers (Robert), Deborah Sue Lewis (Dale); one nephew, Joe Davis (Donna); and many other great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends, her devoted friends and classmates.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lewisburg Chapel United Methodist Church on 7th Ave. North. Pastor Kayla Neese delivered the eulogy. Interment took place in Cook Memorial Cemetery in Lewisburg.
