Patricia Gayle Porter

Patricia Gayle Porter, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2024, at the age of 77 at home in Lynnville, Tenn. Born on February 26, 1946, her life was filled with love, family, and a loving church family.

Gayle was a dedicated worker at Mead Containers in Lewisburg for 26 years. She was loved by her coworkers and had a strong work ethic. She loved to travel with her belated husband of 41 years, Don Porter, who was in the military. She was a devoted member of Brown Teal Road Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Tenn. She loved cooking, reading, attending gospel singings, and spending time with family, especially her great grandbabies. Her heart was for her family.

Gayle is preceded in death by her husband, Don Porter; her parents, Clark & Thelma Miles; brothers, Joe Miles, Ed Miles, Charles Miles, and Bobby Miles.

She is survived by her son, Donald Wayne (Shannon) Porter, Jr. and her daughter, Elizabeth (Lance) Patterson.

Gayle’s memory will forever be cherished by her surviving grandchildren, Matt Patterson, Lauren Porter, Caytlin Porter, Rylee Patterson, Pride Patterson, and Cain Patterson. She was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and laughter, Ella Adams, Xander Solomon, Willow Daniel and Rowynn Daniel. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Patricia Gayle.
