The Petersburg Community Cultural Coalition (PCCC) invites everyone to come to town this Saturday from noon to 8:00 pm for the third annual Our Town Fair at the Morgan Cultural Center (formerly Morgan School and Petersburg High School.)
This year’s attractions include close to 40 arts and crafts vendors, seven food vendors, petting zoo, pony rides, games, a corn hole tournament, bouncy houses, axe throwing, live music, and so much more. The site is on Hwy. 431 halfway between Fayetteville and Lewisburg. Starting at noon, the popular Our Town Idol will return for the third year. Live music starts at 2:00 with Who is Derrell Dean? followed by The Robert Foster, Ally Fox, Levi Ogle, Sharlow’s Garage, and Boomerang.
Admission is free, and donations of any amount are accepted but not required. “We want the Fair to be the pride of everyone who calls Petersburg home. We are devoted to free admission, so no one is left out of coming out and having a grand time without spending much money,” said Warren Gill, president of the Petersburg CCC. The PCCC is a non-profit organization formed in 2022 to provide educational programs in agriculture, history, art, music, and performing arts to the Petersburg area. Housed in the old Morgan School, much of the funding raised has gone to restoring and rehabilitating the 1919 school building.
The community library was relocated there in 2022.
