It will be a red, white, and blue celebration as the Annual 4th of July Parade gets underway in Lewisburg on Thursday, July 4th at 9 a.m. This year’s theme is A Salute to America to honor our country’s 248th birthday.
Parade coordinators Vince Cuevas and Sharrin Lusco-Peter, who have been organizing the parade since 2021, will be joining forces with the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce to make this event one of the highlights of the festivities the Chamber has planned for the day.
The parade line-up is going back to its original route. The staging area will be at the Acres Shopping Center near Goodwill. Participants are being asked to arrive at 8:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. and will travel down West Commerce and end at the Lewisburg Recreation Center.
Over the past 3 years, the parade has had as many as 75 entries and organizers are hoping to surpass that number this year.
Maximum Velocity Youth Sports was awarded first place for their float in the 2023 parade so they are serving as the 2024 Grand Marshal.
Certificates and Ribbons will be handed out once again to the top three best decorated/patriotic entries.
Start thinking about your entry to this year’s 4th of July Parade. All invited to participate: pageant queens, vintage cars, trucks, motorcycles, rat rods, jeepers, floats, recreational vehicles, horseback riders, church groups, civic organizations, candidates, and more.
