Norma Capley Rutherford, 83, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Monday, November 11, 2024, at her daughter’s residence.
She was born April 20, 1941, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Edward and Lillis McCollum Capley. She was a cashier for the City of Lewisburg for 40 plus years and a member of Westvue Church of Christ. Her church was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with her church family. She was an avid Elvis fan and requested Elvis music be played during her visitation and service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Sevastion Stinnett, Charles Nix and Waldo Rutherford.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Bills (Steve Klotz) of Cornersville; three grandchildren, Candice Spivey, Robert Spivey, and Presley Spivey; three great grandchildren, Ronin Whitworth, Rayne Whitworth, and Kara Whitworth; and a brother, Frank (Barbara) Capley of Smyrna.
Visitation with the family was held at Westvue Church of Christ, 1710 Mooresville Hwy, Lewisburg, TN, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 10 a.m. until noon.
The funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at noon at Westvue Church of Christ and burial followed in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Nix, Gabe Cross, Randell Dodson, Danny Pickle, and Jimmy Langley.
