Mollie Jeanette Humphrey, 81, of Hartselle, Alabama, formerly of Lewisburg, died Friday, April 5, 2024, at her residence in Alabama.
She was born May 22, 1942, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late John Head and Henrietta Cope Head. She is survived by her husband, Hulon L. Humphrey, Hartselle, Alabama and formerly of Lewisburg; son, Malcolm (Crystal) Humphrey, Hartselle, Alabama; daughter, Kaye Swindell, LaVergne, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Madison Humphrey, Brandon Swindell and Brandi Baldridge; three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jeffrey Swindell.
Mollie was the office manager and administrative assistant for several companies during her career including Barbers Milk, Hibbett Sporting Goods and ICP in Lewisburg. She loved to work and spent some of her later years working at Walmart. She was a huge University of Alabama fan and enjoyed cheering the teams on with her family whom she loved dearly. Her husband was involved in the horse business and she was by his side helping him run the business. Mollie loved Jesus and was a longtime member of the Bethel Baptist Church Choir in Moody, Alabama where she was involved in the children’s ministry for over twenty years. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, family and friends.
Visitation with the family was held at London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 1 until 3 p.m. The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home and burial followed in New Hope Cemetery – Cornersville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Humane Society. London Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
