The Miss Lewisburg Pageant was held Saturday Sept. 17 at the Lewisburg Recreation Center. It was moved indoors due to rain earlier in the day, but it did not stop the excitement. New Director Marti Sullivan, Miss Lewisburg 2015, was thrilled to host the event this year. The 2022 reigning queens offered a farewell speech before they crowned the 2023 winners.

The Little Miss Division had ten participants and competed in formal wear only. Junior Miss Division had eight girls that also completed only in formal wear. Both divisions drew a room full of friends and family that cheered the girls on.

The ten contestants competing for Miss Lewisburg came out and performed a short dance choreographed by Katelin McNutt. The pageant colors and banner were inspired by Barbie, so they danced to Lizzo’s song Pink from the new Barbie movie. Their outfits varied but were all pink and white and full of sparkles.

After their performance, they formally introduced themselves in casual wear. Next was formal wear. The top 5 were announced and proceeded to the question part of the program. Each one answered, “What does community service mean to you?” After a short break, the winner and her court were announced. In addition to top five, Miss Congeniality was awarded to Delia Morano.
