Mary Beane Lilly

Mary Beane Lilly, 92, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, died Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Smyrna Care Center. She was born January 23, 1932, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Paul “Blackie” and Margaret Bassee Beane.

She was a retired bookkeeper for O.V. Smith and Sons and was a member of the Cornersville United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Sissonville High School, Class of 1949, where she was head cheerleader. She was also a former member of Fisher Chapel of Romance, WV and sang with the Chapelettes for many years.  She was a great seamstress, enjoyed puzzles, travelling, and church activities.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff of Village Manor Assisted Living in Lewisburg, Tennessee, the Smyrna Care Center in Smyrna, Tennessee and Shalom Hospice for their loving care. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Harold Lilly, Sr.; one son, Tim Harrison; three sisters, Leora (Wayne) Ralya, Pat Webb, and Sue (David) Bowling; stepchildren, Patty Ondo, and Buddy Lilly.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina (Ron) Haynes of Murfreesboro; son, Terry Harrison; sister, Connie Olds, of Phoenix, Arizona; brother- in-law, Frank Webb of Charleston, West Virginia; grandchildren, Jonathan (Kelli Ann) Harrison of Murfreesboro, Ashley (Justin) Farmer of Woodbury, and JoAnna (Kenston) Ezell of Columbia; and two great- grandsons, Maverick Ezell and Bodie Farmer.

There will be no local services and a private graveside service will be conducted at a later date in West Virginia. London Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
