Presidential Preference Primary (all counties) & County Primary Election (if called) – March 5, 2024
Deadlines for March 5:
Voter Registration Deadline-Feb. 5
Early Voting Period Feb. 14 – Feb. 27
Absentee Ballot Request Deadline-Feb. 27
State and Federal Primary and State and County General Election – August 1, 2024
Primary elections will be held for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, State Senate (even-numbered districts), and State House of Representatives. General elections will be held for vacant state judicial offices and applicable county offices.
According to Andrew Robertson, Administrator of Elections, on Aug. 1, the County General Election will have Property Assessor, various School Board members, and one unexpired term for County Commission. There will be municipal elections for Lewisburg, Chapel Hill and Petersburg. Lewisburg will also elect City Council members for Ward 1 and Ward 5. In Chapel Hill and Petersburg, 3 Aldermen will be elected.
Deadlines for Aug 1:
Voter Registration Deadline-July 2
Early Voting July 12 – July 27
Absentee Ballot Request Deadline-July 25
State and Federal General Election – November 5, 2024
Presidential election along with U.S. Senate, U.S. House, State Senate and State House seats that were on the primary ballot in August. According to Robertson, there will also be a municipal election for Cornersville where the Mayor and 2 Aldermen will be elected.
Deadlines for Nov. 1:
Voter Registration Deadline-Oct. 7
Early Voting Oct. 16 – Oct. 31
Absentee Ballot Request Deadline-Oct. 29
