The Central Region FCE (Family & Community Education) held its annual meeting September 14th at the UT Space Institute located in Tullahoma, Tenn. The theme for the meeting was “There’s No Place Like Home in FCE.” Twelve Marshall County FCE members attended. At this meeting, Cultural Arts winners from the Middle Tennessee Region were presented and judged. There are 62 different categories and all first and second place winners are eligible to compete at the TAFCE State Conference in November. The following Marshall County members will compete at the state conference: Nancye Hobbs (Embellished Accessories), Donna Elliott (Ceramics), Linda Prince (Jewelry Non-beaded), and Pat Holt (Quilt: Other). The TAFCE Conference will be hosted by the Eastern Region in Kingsport, Tenn., November 12-15.
