Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 4th. The Lewisburg Lions Club will host their 34th annual Octoberfest at Rock Creek Park. Festivities include great food, fun, entertainment, and the Fall Cruise In.
A family tradition that stated over 40 years ago, is the pancake and sausage breakfast, which will start at 6 a.m. The cost is $10 per plate. Pancakes will be available throughout most of the morning with hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and hotdogs on the menu for lunch.
There is something for everyone, young and old, as local residents will participate by setting up booths to showcase arts, crafts and homemade wares, as well as informative booths. There will be a full slate of entertainment beginning at 8:30 a.m. and will continue throughout the day. Again, the annual Fall Cruise In at Octoberfest, will have several different classes for cars and trucks.
There is something for everyone during Octoberfest. Come join in the fun, mingle with your family, friends and neighbors and have a great day. Members of the local Lions Club ask that you make plans to attend.
The Lewisburg Lions Club has been in existence since 1937. Throughout the years, annual events such as Octoberfest has made it possible for Lions to serve our community in many ways such as eye care assistance and many local charities.
