Dorris Gentry received the Lifetime Volunteer Award during closing ceremonies of the Youth Baseball & Softball League on May 30, 2024. He has been volunteering since the very first baseball game was held at the sports complex on Springplace Road. “Mr. Dorris,” to most at the ballpark, has been a dedicated volunteer for 50 years – on the fields, in the concession stand, and wherever else he was needed.
