Larry Rieger, 66, of Lewisburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening May 7, 2024.
He was born September 21, 1957, in Saginaw Michigan. The son of the late Walter Rieger and Erma (Keene) Rieger.
He was a graduate of Saint Charles High School.
He married Denise Davis (divorced) in 1976.
In 1991, Larry moved to Tennessee to continue work as a toolmaker at the General Motors plant in Spring Hill where he continued to work for the remainder of his life.
He was a proud member of the UAW and an avid reader. He loved swimming and riding his motorcycle. Additionally, he enjoyed tinkering with computers and electronics, playing card and board games with his children and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his mother, four children and their spouses and children: Joseph and Ginger Rieger and their daughters, Alyssa and Audrey; Jason and Amanda Rieger and their daughters, Samantha and Hannah; Joshua and Kari Rieger and their daughter, Laklyn; and Barbra and Lee Mooneyhan and their daughter, Kaylee; four brothers, two sisters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by a daughter, Jeanie Rieger and his father, Walter Rieger.
A celebration of life was held at 5:30 p.m. on May 15, 2024, at the Bluegrass Yacht and Country Club in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Preferred memorials are donations to Toys for Tots, St. Jude or a charity of the donor’s choice.
