Lewisburg all-star and University of Tennessee baseball player Kavares Tears was honored at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
Mayor Jim Bingham signed a proclamation in Tears’ honor marking the day as “Kavares Tears Day.”
The City’s press release describes Tears as a “standout athlete and inspirational young man who has brought great pride to the community through his exceptional achievements both on and off the field.” All residents were invited to join in the celebration of his remarkable accomplishments were encouraged to wear orange.
