John Allen Berlin

John Allen Berlin, 81, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Friday, April 19, 2024, at Williamson Medical Center.

He was born March 16, 1943, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late John Thomas and Maebelle Lamb King. He was a retired line lead for Sanford, and prior to that, he was a manager for Genesco and Hardee’s. He was a Christian, music lover, and graduate of MCHS Class of 1961. He served his country in the Air Force and was a member of the ROTC. He enjoyed his time with family, watching sports, especially the Vols, and cooking and baking. When he was younger, he was a lifeguard for the Recreation Center, where he would perform from the high dive during intermissions for the pageants. He was an accomplished athlete, lettering in football, baseball, and basketball, and enjoyed fishing, and golf.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bettye King Menck, and one niece, Teri Nicole “Tinker.”

He is survived by his wife, Susan Teague Berlin; two daughters, Heather “Deedee” Berlin (Mike) Vaughn of Petersburg and Ann Claire Berlin (Steven Stutts) of Lewisburg; two sons, John Eric Berlin of Petersburg and Alex Clayton (Autumn) Berlin of Petersburg; one sister, Linda Lovell (Grady) of Shelbyville; one brother, Terry King of Wayne, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Heather M. Vaughn, James Vaughn, Natalie LaRue Vaughn, Ava Rae Berlin, Oaklyn Mae Berlin, and Waylon River Berlin; several nieces and nephews; a special nephew, Bobby Dickson.

Visitation with the family was held at London Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 4 until 7 p.m. and continued Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from noon until the funeral hour. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091, with burial following in Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg. London Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
