Jane Willis Aldridge

Jane Willis Aldridge, 80, of Lewisburg, Tenn., died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at Williamson Medical Center.

Jane was born Dec. 5, 1943, in Lewisburg, Tenn., to the late Berdell and Sara Prosser Willis. She was an educator for 40 years in the Marshall County school system and was known as a compassionate and excellent teacher. She was an avid MCHS Tigerette and Vanderbilt basketball fan. Her hobbies included camping, reading, and playing games with her grandchildren. Jane will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all those who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Phil Willis.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wayne Aldridge; daughter, Amy (Kevin) McGehee of Lewisburg; son, Andy (Jennifer) Aldridge of Lewisburg; five grandchildren, Mary Kate, Brett, Blake, Abby, and Kacyn; sister, Sonia Bratten of Dunwoody, Ga.

A graveside service was conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Fox-Wheatley Cemetery and burial followed.

Pallbearers were Brad Willis, Chip Bratten, Andy Aldridge, Kevin McGehee, Brett McGehee, and Blake Aldridge.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Methodist Women at Lewisburg First United Methodist Church or to the Marshall County Retired Teachers Association, c/o Cheryl Keny, 570 Joyce Avenue, Lewisburg, Tenn. 37091.
