This past December, the campground at Henry Horton State Park turned into the Horton Holiday Village and it was enjoyed by an estimated 2,000 visitors. Campsites in the campground were decorated by companies from our Marshall County Community for all to enjoy and put everyone in the Christmas Spirit! Vendors also setup for people wanting to find that perfect Christmas gift!
In order to give back, donations were collected during the holiday village event for the Second Harvest Food Bank. The Second Harvest Food Bank program is designed to serve those experiencing hunger across the State of Tennessee. During the weekend in December, there were 1,378 pounds of food collected which is estimated to be 1,148 meals.
Local supporters of the event were: First Commerce Bank, Smyrna Baptist Church, Talos Engineered Products, Friends of Henry Horton State Park, and WM.
Mark your calendars for 2025 Horton Holiday Village as it will surely grow and become an annual Christmas Event for all of the community to enjoy.
