An overflow crowd of more than 700 filled picnic pavilions and tents at Rock Creek Park on Sunday night, September 17, to enjoy a fantastic fish fry, worship together under the direction of an amazing youth band, and sit at the feet of guest speaker Clay Dyer…except Clay Dyer doesn’t have any feet. Born without legs or a left arm and with only a severely truncated right arm, Clay’s faith and resourcefulness have enabled him to make a living as a professional bass fisherman on the Bassmaster Open Series. Clay also stays busy as a traveling evangelist whose personal testimony highlighting human grit and divine grace has enabled him to instruct and inspire crowds at worship events, corporate retreats, and fishing tournaments throughout the Southeast.
He certainly did that at the event on September 17. The huge crowd laughed, cried, and shouted praise as Clay reminded them that “disabled” often is a state of mind, that God created all of us to be extraordinary, and that by choosing to believe and refusing to give up we all can experience His victory.
The event at Rock Creek Park was sponsored by the Kingdom Women’s prayer group and No Walls men’s prayer group, in partnership with the Marshall County Ministerial Association and FCA.
Clay Dyer his wife Pam live in Fayetteville, Tennessee and are available to speak at church, community, and corporate events.
