Fannie Carlene Cheeves, 92, of Lewisburg, Tenn., passed away Friday, May 10, 2024. Carlene attended at East Commerce Baptist Church and loved to attend her adult ladies Sunday School Class.
She loved her flowers, especially her mandevilla. Carlene was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to music and loved watching sports, especially NASCAR. She loved her family and being Nanny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carlene enjoyed her talks with her dear friend Bobby Jean Lowry.
Carlene was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Cheeves; parents, Carl Morton, Sr. and Fannie Mae (McKelvey) Morton; son, Jeffery Cheeves; brothers, Claude Morton and Carl Morton, Jr; sisters, Sara Brown and Edna Luna.
Carlene is survived by her children, Jimmy Cheeves (Brenda) and Patsy Cheeves Bowling; grandchildren, Andy Bowling (Carlie), Trent Cheeves (Amber) and Brooke Tobin (Dennis); great-grandchildren, Iris, Dylan, Alana Kay, Moira, Lena and Ariel; great-great-grandson, Jett; nieces and extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Bills McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Vassar will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Park and Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Bills McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home, 755 Yell Road Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091. 931-359-2521
