Mrs. Elizabeth Darnell Trout, 88, of the Holt’s Corner community in Marshall County, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at NHC Place, Cool Springs in Franklin, Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late Fount Tillman Darnell and Aline Bolin Darnell. Mrs. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of Holt’s Corner Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Trout.
Mrs. Elizabeth was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved cooking for family gatherings and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 72 years, Mr. David Trout of the Holt’s Corner community; children, Debbie (Ricky) Daughrity of Chapel Hill, Terry Trout of Murfreesboro; daughter-in-law, Gail Trout of the Holt’s Corner community; sister, Shirley (Eldridge) Cook of Chapel Hill; five grandchildren, Melissa (Davy) McClaran, Karen LeMay, Brad Trout, Leanne (Rick) Burnham, Andrew (Caroline) Trout; nine great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Swanson Cemetery with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial followed in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill. There was be no public visitation before the graveside service.
Brad Trout, Andrew Trout, Davy McClaran, Rick Burnham, Nathan Trout, Brett Burnham, Blake Burnham, Ryley McClaran, and Owen McClaran served as pallbearers.
