Donald Eugene Darnell, 63, of Lewisburg, Tenn., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 11, 1961, in Braden, Fla., to the late Loyd Darnell and Elizabeth Rhiner Ward who survives. He was a roofer for Jerry King Roofing. He enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, visiting with friends and family, riding back roads looking for wild animals, and especially his Chevy trucks.
He was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Eugene Darnell and a brother, Henry Rhiner.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Rhiner Ward of Lewisburg; two brothers, Dwayne Darnell and Terry Darnell of Lewisburg; two sisters, Mary Stafford of Lewisburg and Vickie (Steven) Oglesby of Pulaski; nephews, Ben Rhiner, Justan Rhiner, Xavier Moore, and Jason Stafford; nieces, Ashley Boyette and Regina Stokes; great-nephews, Jaysin Stafford, Waylin Rhiner, Chris Boyette, Jr., and John Boyette; great-nieces, Chloe Stafford, Harley Rhiner, Lizzy Rhiner, Lakelyn Rhiner and Margot Stokes.
Visitation with the family was held at London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tenn., on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, from 4 until 7 p.m. and continued Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, starting at 9 a.m. until the funeral hour.
The funeral service was conducted Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial following in Short Cemetery.
