WhDiana Singing at if someone said there is going to be a great singing in a community most have never heard of and at least 2,500 to 3,000 will be attending? Is this believable? Well, believe it.

This weekend, Friday, Sept. 8th and Saturday, Sept. 9th, there will be a gathering of singers meeting at the Diana Singing shed in Diana, TN to sing hymns new and old. Beautiful a capella voices will ring out through the rolling hills starting at 7:30 p.m. and will continue until the wee hours of the morning.

Diana, TN is widely known for the Diana Singing which is held twice a year. The late Bro. William Sanders and the late Bro. Tom Holland began the singing in 1969. Their main idea for this was to encourage and promote congregational singing and their idea became quite amazing. Each year as more and more would gather for the singing, the crowds outgrew the Diana Church of Christ. Property near the church was purchased and a shed was built in 1973, that seated approximately 1,500 people. In 1974, the shed was enlarged to accommodate at least 2,500.

In 2019, the Diana Singing celebrated its 50th anniversary. In 2020 and 2021, the singing was cancelled due to Covid. In 2022, the singers were so ready to meet again. People from 18 states made their way to this small community, and it was told that at least 3,000 were gathered – hundreds standing and sitting in chairs outside the shed.

So if it is not believed that voices will be heard for miles and thousands will be gathered under and around this shed, travel south on Hwy 31A to the Diana community. Just follow the signs.
