On January 11, 2024, members of the Robert Lewis Chapter NSDAR attended the annual District Meeting in Tullahoma, Tennessee. The chapter members spent the afternoon with other Sequoyah District chapters of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The guest speaker and honored guest was Tennessee State Regent Emily Robinson.
Mrs. Robinson presented an educational program on Dolley Madison, wife of Founding Father and 4th President James Madison. Mrs. Madison was a political force in her own right and opened both their personal residence and the White House to free, open, and civil discussions on the topics of the day. The RLC members were delighted to be able to have a photo opportunity with Mrs. Robinson.
