The Town of Cornersville was awarded a 2023 Community Development Block Grant for a sidewalk that connects the Cornersville Elementary School to the existing sidewalk on the north side of the Town.
The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development awarded the Town of Cornersville a total project cost of $267,726.00.
The sidewalk will be extended along the west side of Hwy 31A/11 from 405 N. Main St. north 1,200 linear feet to Cornersville Elementary School. The sidewalk will be five feet wide and include a 24” curb and gutter.
The Town made multiple applications for this grant over many years before being funded.
