Candidate Forum & Early Voting

It’s not often you hear the word non-partisan. But, this Saturday, July 13, local candidates and even a few state and federal candidates will be attending the Candidate Meet & Greet.

The Red, White & BBQ will be held at the Church St Church of Christ Annex Building at 305 W. Church Street in Lewisburg from noon to 3 p.m. Food and drinks will be available while supplies last.

There is no cost for the public to attend and all are welcome to hear where candidates stand on issues. Candidate forums allow voters to make an educated choice about who they want to vote for. There will be an opportunity for the public to speak with candidates.

Early voting for the August 1 election starts on Friday, July 12 and runs through Saturday, July 27.  All early voting is held at the Marshall County Election Commission office in Hardison Office Annex, 230 College Street, Suite 120 in Lewisburg.

Hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Tuesdays 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Thursdays 8 a.m. -6 p.m.; and Saturdays 8 a.m.-noon. For questions about satellite locations, absentee ballots, requirements to vote, call the Marshall County Commission office at 931-359-4894 or visit govotetn.gov.
