Bobby Wayne Jett, Sr., 81, of Petersburg, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Bobby was born June 3, 1943, in the Berlin community of Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Frank Jett and Helen Hilliard Estes.
He is survived by three sons, Bobby Jett, Jr. (Edith), Paul Jett (Beverly) and Robert Jett all of Petersburg, TN; eight grandchildren, Valerie Jett-Rowland (Sam) of Lewisburg, Travis Jett (Beth) of Petersburg, Amanda Foster (Jimmie) of Lewisburg, Dustin Jett (Amanda) of Belfast, Brandie Jett Burchell (Jake) of Pulaski, Corey Jett and Cody Jett of Petersburg, and Corina Tate (Matthew) of Petersburg; twenty-three great grandchildren; three sisters, Peggy Dixon, Ramona Hill and Brenda Luna.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lonnie Faye Pilkington Jett in 2016; granddaughter, Casey Renee Jett; three brothers, Frank Jett, Jr., Hilliard Jett and Joe Jett; one sister Beverly Favors.
He was a truck driver for Averitt Express for 30 years and served on the Civil Defense team for Bedford County as a rescue diver. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family was held at London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
Funeral Service was conducted on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Old Orchard Cemetery.
