NASHVILLE — Hume-Fogg scored on a passed ball on Monday night against Marshall County and escaped with an 8-7 win over the Tigers.
After surrendering three runs to the Blue Knights in the bottom of the first, Marshall County took advantage of several Blue Knight miscues.
Carson Henderson scored the first run of the game for Marshall County on an error and Rob Hawkins was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to pull within one.
A bases-loaded walk by Lucas Hery tied the game at three, before Reid Mitchell mashed a two RBI single to left, giving the Tigers a 5-3 lead.
The Marshall County lead was short-lived, however, as Hume-Fogg rallied for three in the bottom of the frame.
Despite the hosts rallying to take the one-run lead, A Kirby scored on an error to tie the game at six in the third.
Mitchell led the Tigers at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Tripp Brant got the start and pitched six innings for the Tigers, giving up four earned runs on 10 hits, while striking out six.
