Betty Chilton Ballinger, 76, of Lewisburg, Tenn., passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 5, 1948, in Lewisburg, Tenn., to the late Joe and Bessie Rodgers Chilton. She was a member of Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Prior to retirement, she worked at Cosmolab. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, playing cards, bingo, Yatzee and working puzzles. She especially enjoyed going to and holding her own yard sales which were always well attended. She was a devoted wife and mother to her son, Ronnie, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Doyle Ballinger, in 2021; seven brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Ron Ballinger of Lewisburg as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family was held at London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Short Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
