Mrs. Bessie Jo Turley, 83, of Lewisburg, Tenn., died Sunday, July 7, 2024. Born in Davidson Co., Mrs. Turley was a daughter of the late Joe Henry Ivey and Annie Ruby Harwell Ivey. She was a former school bus driver for the Marshall Co. School System, a former employee of Henry Horton State Park and Moorehead Grocery. For a period of time she owned The Donut Shop in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Turley was a member of Riggs Church of Christ. She loved her church family, baking and especially enjoyed yard sales and auctions.
Survivors are her three daughters, Debbie (Tommy) Roberson of Chapel Hill, Tenn., Donna (Scott) Haley of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Tammy (Ronnie) Sapp of Pikeville, Tenn.; a son, Roger (James) Turley of Huntsville, Ala.; a sister, Stella Seaborne of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Following visitation, there was a graveside service at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
