The Chapel Hill Police Department has charged multiple individuals in connection with a series of motor vehicle burglaries that occurred on September 11, 2025, and September 12, 2025.
Two juveniles were arrested and charged in connection with 42 vehicle burglaries. The investigation also led to the recovery of all seven firearms that had been reported stolen.
Each of the two juveniles faces 87 charges ranging from felony theft of firearms to burglary and vandalism. A third juvenile has been charged with twelve counts of possession of stolen firearms and tampering with evidence.
In addition, a fourth suspect, an adult, has been charged in Maury County with unlawful possession of stolen firearms and tampering with evidence.
At this time, the names of the juveniles are being withheld. Chapel Hill Police Department is working to have the two 17-year-old offenders transferred to adult court in Marshall County.
