Annual Sales Tax Holiday Next Weekend
STAFF REPORT
NASHVILLE ⎯ Save the date and save in Tennessee’s annual sales tax holiday weekend from Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28. Revenue Commissioner David Gerregano said, “This is the only sales tax holiday this year.”
During this holiday, you can save nearly 10 percent on qualifying clothing, school supplies, and computers. Tennesseans can purchase clothing and school supplies tax-free if they are $100 or less. Computers tax-free if they are $1500 or less. Qualifying items may be purchased online and in stores.
“I encourage every Tennessee family to take advantage of back-to-school savings and thank the General Assembly for partnering to provide direct financial relief for taxpayers,” said Gov. Bill Lee.
