Adell Leverette Daughrity, 85, passed peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2024, to her new heavenly home.
She was our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She never met a stranger which made her the perfect person to assist customers at H&S Pharmacy for many years while also working with her daughter in the flower shop, A Victorian Melody, for the next 20 years. She was never seen without a smile or with her hair in a mess. She would meet each day with a Sun-Drop.
She and Don enjoyed traveling after retirement but their favorite place was home enjoying dog sitting with their grand dogs, Lizzie and Lola, who are already with Don waiting on her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Annie Leverette; her first husband, Neil Hardison and her husband, Donald Daughrity; brothers, Bob and Gene Leverette; sister, Shirley Williams and nephew, Terry Williams.
She leaves behind to grieve her daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Mike Spence of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Foster and Shea (Madison) Spence both of Lewisburg; great-grandson Bradley Foster; her beloved friend of over 80 years, Marie Walker; niece, Mitzi (Tommy) Isley and nephew, Doug Leverette.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 W. Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held at London Funeral Home on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 2 p.m. and burial followed at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
Pallbearers were Shea Spence, Bradley Foster, Colin Harris, Dee Walker, Doug Leverette and Tommy Isley.
